Phyllis M. Becker, 78-year-old Ten Sleep resident passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Phyllis was born on December 21, 1939 in the sub-district of Prescot in the County of Lancaster England to John J. and Emma (Fitzgerald) Smith. She crossed the ocean on the Queen Mary when the family moved to Philadelphia where she reached adulthood. She married Lyle Rochel. The couple moved to a farm in Tyler, MN where they raised their family. They later divorced. Following the divorce, Phyllis chose to go back to school to finish her education. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

She married Raymond Becker on June 22, 1985. The couple later moved to Ten Sleep, WY where she lived until the time of her death. She worked for Wyoming Water Rights Consulting (Todd Rhodes) for nearly ten years. She then became president of Nowood Fencing where she worked side-by-side with her husband until her health declined.

She loved doing handiwork such as cross-stitching, crocheting and knitting. She was also an avid outdoor person, enjoying fishing, hunting, sight-seeing and snowmobiling in the Big Horn Mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Ray, step-daughter, Carmen (Curt) Dubbeldee; grandchildren, Garrett (Rachel) Dubbeldee and Rachel Dubbeldee.
